2026 GRAND RECITAL
Dear Parents,
Thank you so much for being part of the Art of Dance Academy Grand Recital! We are so excited for recital day and can’t wait to see our dancers shine on stage.
Recital Details:
Recital day is a very special and exciting time for our dancers. It is their opportunity to showcase all the hard work, dedication, and confidence they have built. Our goal is to provide them with a true performing arts experience in a professional setting.
To ensure a smooth and successful show for everyone involved, we kindly ask that:

All dancers arrive on time for drop-off

Dancers come fully prepared with costumes, hair, and makeup as instructed

Families remain patient and supportive throughout the event
Our staff, stage moms, runners, and tech crew will be working together behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Your cooperation and punctuality will help us create the best possible experience for our dancers.
Important Reminder:
All recital students are required to attend and should be dropped off on time.

📍 RECITAL DETAILS
Date: Saturday, June 27
Time: 5:30 PM
Location: Travis High School Theater
11111 Harlem Rd, Katy, TX 77406
⏰ RECITAL DAY DROP-OFF SCHEDULE
👶 Toddler Twinkle Stars
• Arrive in ballet costume with makeup applied (no lipstick)
• Drop-off: 4:00 PM SHARP
🧒 Juniors (Tuesday & Thursday)
• Face makeup applied (no lipstick)
• Drop-off: 1:30 PM SHARP
👧 Tweens (Monday & Wednesday)
• Face makeup applied (no lipstick)
• Drop-off: 12:00 PM SHARP
🥪 All dancers must bring a brown bag lunch and healthy light snacks
💄 MAKEUP REQUIREMENTS (Label all items)
• Blush
• Red lipstick
• Gold shimmer & brown smokey eye shadow
• Eyeliner (optional)
• Mascara
• Body glitter
• Foundation (not required for toddlers)
• Powder
Makeup may also be professionally applied (optional).See Mrs. Ilen’a for more details
HAIR
• All dancers must wear a slicked-back ballet bun
🩰 TIGHTS & SHOES (Label all items)
Tights:
• Ballet pink tights (bring an extra pair)
Shoes:
• Ballet – Pink ballet shoes
• Jazz – Black jazz shoes
Hip-hop - Sneakers
🎒 EXTRAS TO BRING
• Bobby pins
• Brush/comb
• Hair spray (if needed)
• Extra tights & undergarments
⚠️ IMPORTANT REMINDERS
• Label everything with your dancer’s name
• Check that shoes and tights fit properly
• Replacement items can be ordered (if needed)
🎭 BACKSTAGE RULES
• Dancers must remain in assigned dressing rooms
• Follow all instructions from staff & volunteers
• No running, food, or gum backstage
• No jewelry or cell phone use
• Stay quiet backstage at all times
• Remain until the show ends
• Most importantly keep dancing and smiling no matter what!

🎭 AUDIENCE & LOBBY GUIDELINES
🎟️ TICKETS & SEATING
• Each student receives 2 recital tickets
• Additional tickets: $15 (ages 3 and up)
• Children 2 & under are free as lap children
(must remain seated on a guardian’s lap)
If you would like a separate seat for your child, please purchase an additional ticket in advance.
• Seating is first come, first served (no reserved seating)
• Handicap seating is available please notify an usher for assistance
⏰ ARRIVAL & COURTESY
• Please arrive on time
• Once the performance begins, please remain seated
• Avoid entering or exiting during performances
• If necessary, move between acts only
👏 AUDIENCE ETIQUETTE
• Be respectful of all performers
• Limit noise and distractions
• Show support through applause (no yelling, please)
• Stay and enjoy the entire performance
💃 DANCER POLICIES
• Toddlers may join the audience after performing both Ballet & Jazz routines
• Juniors & Tweens must remain backstage
until the end of the show
